The Sacred Fire Network formed in the Spring of 2017 to build capacity to work in solidarity with Indigenous Land Defenders. Across Turtle Island, Indigenous people are leading the movements to protect water, land, and life from the destruction and desecration that comes with endless capitalist extraction, consumption and pollution.

We assert the importance of building relationships and economies grounded in a shared love and respect for land, water, and life. We envision a future grounded in cultivating local food security, supporting ecological resilience, and honouring Indigenous laws.
